Nyamtselmeg (Emma) Myagmarnaran and Nyamtsengel (Ella) Myagmarnaran, born in 2002, are twin Mongolian artists who studied at the Slade School of Fine Art. Their artistic practice encompasses both solo works and collaborations.

Emma’s works drift between the realms of abstraction and figuration, featuring ethereal figures set within vast, disparate landscapes. Through the interplay of nature and nurture, she explores human connection and relational dynamics, informed by the unique perspective of being a twin.  At the heart of her practice lies spiritual intuition- an ever-present guiding force that shapes her worldview and creative process.

Ella’s practice explores the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and soul through organic forms found in nature, particularly trees, which serve as living metaphors for the complex inner landscapes of human existence. She aims to express what can be felt rather than merely seen by capturing the essence of breathing and vibrating energies through the fluidity of acrylics and the smooth blending of oil paint.

In collaboration, their joint practice investigates the symbiotic nature of painting, where each element exists in an endless flux of energy, forces, and spontaneous formation. From the intersection of control and chaos, a unique visual language emerges, bridging individual expression within a shared collective consciousness.  Like flowing rivers, their gestures diverge, converge, and dissolve, echoing the elemental rhythms of nature and matter. Their work unfolds as a constant dialogue between inner worlds, expanding into emotionally resonant terrains that reflect the transient nature of identity and the intricate systems that shape it.
